A slow yoga studio · Alder Street, Portland

Practice being
unhurried.

Slow-flow vinyasa, yin, restorative and breathwork in a sun-worn room above the street. No mirrors, no metrics, no leaderboard — fourteen mats and the long light of late afternoon.

01

Vinyasa

Breath-led movement — one posture per breath, strong but never rushed. We move less than most studios and mean it more.

60–75 min · warm room
02

Yin

Long, quiet holds close to the floor, three to five minutes at a time. Time for the tissue to release — and the thoughts to follow.

75 min · cool room
03

Restorative

Bolsters, blankets, and almost nothing to do. The quiet art of being completely supported.

60 min · candlelight
04

Breathwork

Twenty guided minutes that settle the nervous system like a long exhale. Seated — no mat required.

30–45 min · seated
The practice room — plants, mats and tall windows
A quiet corner of the studio

The garden room, half past four on a Tuesday.

02 — The room

Morning light,
kept all day.

Twelve feet of west-facing windows, cork underfoot, and more plants than chairs. We open the windows between sessions, whatever the weather — and we cap every class at fourteen mats so the room keeps its hush.

  • Twenty-one plants and one very slow studio cat, Fig.
  • The west light arrives around four — that's the good hour.
  • Fourteen mats per class. Never more, at any price.

Why I teach

04 — This week at Stillpoint

Fourteen mats, never more.

open a class to see the room — take a seat if there's one left

Times shift with the seasons — this pattern holds until late March. Looking for something else? Write to us; we open classes by demand.

05 — An easy way in

Your first class
is on the house.

The gentlest possible start: one full class, any style, on us — plus tea after, if you're not in a hurry to leave. Tell us a little about your week and we'll match you with a time and a teacher.

  • Mats, blocks, bolsters and tea are ours — bring only soft clothes.
  • Arrive ten minutes early; doors close when class begins.
  • Tell your teacher what's sore. Every posture has a gentler cousin.

No contracts, no streaks, no leaderboard. We promise.
